Meeting Professional International's annual Meet Different Educational Conference is fast approaching, with sessions beginning the morning of February 19th and running through the 23rd at the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico.
Although education is the focal purpose, networking and mingling with industry peers from around the world is also an important aspect of the event. The conference is broken up into various Knowledge Sessions, Keynotes Speakers, Soap Box Debates, and even a CMP Boot Camp and Exam. All general sessions will be hosted by Glenn Thayer, whom is known around the industry as "The Voice of Meetings & Events". Thayer is more of an interactive facilitator than a speaker, as he specializes in social media intigration, podcast production, and specialized interviews or "Talk Show" format.
Jeremy Gutche "New Rules = New Roles"
Day one keynote session will feature Jeremy Gutche with his presentation of "New Rules = New Roles". Gutche is an innovation expert and the owner and founder of www.trendhunter.com, a website devoted to research on the most popular trends in every aspect of culture, from fashion to science. In this session attendees will learn how to follow the lead of iconic companies and use trends to succeed during the economic recession.
Monica Harrington "Opportunity to Disguise"
Business strategist and communication specialist Monica Harrington is featured on day two with her presentation "Opportunity to Disguise". In the past Ms. Harrington has been the Chief Marketing Officer for two succesful technology companies, and has served as media advisor for Bill and Melinda Gates. Attendees will discuss how to take the proper risks with changes in technology.
Marty Neumeier "Viva La Business Revolution"
The final keynote session will be lead by Marty Neumeier with "Viva La Business Revolution". Neumeier is President of the San Francisco branding firm Neutron LLC, and the author of best selling books such as The Brand Gap, Zag, and The Designful Company. This session will give insight as to how specialized design tactics can assist in differentiation from competitors.
